Home Seasoning:
Wash the received cookware with a mild dish wash bar/liquid & a gentle scrubber.
Dry wipe it completely. Apply a generous coat of edible oil to the surface, sides, rim, handle & back of the piece.
Keep it on low-medium flame & let it heat for few minutes.
Once done, wipe the excess oil with a kitchen towel and keep it aside for the first/next use. |

Cast Iron
Cast iron pans and dutch ovens can be used for frying and baking foods to perfection. When properly seasoned they are terrific for non-stick cooking on top of the stove as well as baking in the oven. Cast iron pots are heavy but it is worth the extra muscle power it takes to use them.
How to Use
Step 1
Rinse your new dosa tawa completely using mild dishwashing liquid, scrubber and water.
Step 2
After cleaning, wipe the tawa using a soft cloth. Once it is dry, apply oil and leave it for six hours.
Step 3
Next, heat the cast iron tawa over a medium flame for 5 minutes. Once done, switch off the flame and let the tawa cool down completely.
Step 4
Once cooled, use a soft cloth to wipe away excess oil and store the cast iron tawa in a dry place.
Step 5
Repeat the process for 3-4 times before starting to cook, to get the desired result.
