Hand Block Printed Chiu Chiu - Mul Cotton Saree | Peach and Wine
Mogasu
When the beak taps on the kitchen window we know it’s our chiu wanting to say hi. Chiu is our cat’s friend, they spend hours together, one on the outside and the other one on the inside over the kitchen counter. Chiu Chiu is inspired by the little sparrow twins, passing each other a morsel of food that they have gathered. We have designed a dainty print for our dainty little birds. The border and pallu are inspired by the abstract leaves and branches where the birds often fly off to take a nap. This saree comes in wine and peach colour printed on soft mulmul cotton fabric. The saree comes with a wine colour blouse piece as shown in the last picture.
At Mogasu, apparel is hand dyed and hand blocked printed by skilful artisans with love and precision. You might notice some imperfections - a testimony to the 100% original hand printing techniques. The colours might slightly differ due to lighting, photography and device.
