Hang the quilt on a clothesline or place it on a flat surface in the sun. The heat will help to soften the fabric and make it more pliable.

Step 2

Fold the quilt in half, lengthwise.

Step 3

Place the quilt on your child's bed, with the folded edge at the foot of the bed.

Step 4

Tuck the top and bottom edges of the quilt under the mattress.

Step 5

Fold the quilt in half again, widthwise.

Step 6
