How is Cocoa Butter made?
Cocoa butter is made by pressing ground, milled high quality Cacao nibs from Idukki, India to make a cacao paste. This process separates the thick and creamy butter from the fibrous powder.

Usage: Drop a pea-size dollop of cocoa butter in your hands and rub together to melt, and then apply directly to the skin. If you whip it into one of our luscious body butter recipes, apply much as you would any other cream.

Storage: Keep the jar in a cool and dry place with lid tightly closed. If it is too hot & humid, store in fridge.

Please note: Butters often melt in transit to higher temperature states during the summer months. Due to temperature fluctuations, ‘fat blooms’ will occasionally appear on the surface of cocoa butter. This happens when the fat solids separate and then re-cool, resulting in a spotted look. This is completely normal and not a cause for concern.

• Cocoa Butter for skin: Cocoa Butter is rich in antioxidants, vitamins and fatty acids that deeply penetrate the layers of skin to moisturize, improve elasticity and protect it. Whip it up into a fluffy butter with an oil of your choice to use on face and body. It can be added to your lip balm/salves recipes as well.
  
  Cocoa Butter for hair: Cocoa Butter imparts a shine to dull lifeless hair and also provides deep nourishment to dry scalp and hair when applied as a hair mask. To use cocoa butter as a hair mask, melt a tablespoon in double boiler setting and mix it with 3-4 tablespoons of oil of your choice. Massage all over your scalp and hair. Leave overnight and shampoo.
