"Saka Organics owes its origins to an initiative that I started at Rishi Valley school in 2018, when I was in the 11th grade. A group of us students learnt soap-making from our science teacher, and put it to practical use by teaching the skill to a group of rural women to empower them to earn their livelihood.
This initiative continued over two years, during which these women were taught various others skincare recipes, which they sold at our school. Over time, with our support, these women turned this into a sustainable business and continue to see consistent sales from students and visitors to the school.
After finishing school and having seen the catalytic effect this initiative had on women empowerment, I decided to convert my learning into my own start-up.​"
